Tiasha J. Garcia is a first-gen Mexican-American author and teacher from Northern California. An avid fan of Star Wars and Marvel Comics, she strives to bring more authentic representation and inclusion of strong Latino characters to the science fiction and fantasy genres. “I’ve always thought of books as gateways to other worlds,” said the author, “Those worlds should include everyone.”
